UPSSSC Junior Assistant Clerk Exam: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has shortlisted 243981 candidates on the basis of PET score for the main examination for recruitment to 5512 posts of Junior Assistant, Junior Clerk and Assistant level. It was approved in the meeting held on Thursday. The list of candidates can be seen on the Commission’s website upsssc.gov.in. The cutoff has been released on the basis of normalized score of PET 2022. The cutoff for unreserved category, SC, OBC and EWS categories has been equal. The cutoff for all four classes is 15.22. Whereas the cutoff for ST category was 03.97 percent. Information about exam date will be given separately on the website.

Let us tell you that in September 2023, applications were invited for selection on a total of 3768 (general selection) and 63 (special selection) 3831 posts of Junior Assistant, Junior Clerk and Assistant Grade-3 lying vacant in various departments of the state government. After this, 1681 posts of Junior Assistant/Typist cum Junior Clerk were also included. Of these posts, 1518 posts were for general selection and 163 posts were for special selection. That means out of total 5512 posts, 5286 posts are of general selection and 226 posts are of special selection.

A total of 100 questions will be asked in the main examination. There will be a two-hour paper. All questions will be of multiple choice. Each question will be of one mark. One fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 30 questions of 30 marks from Hindi knowledge and writing ability, 15 questions of 15 marks from General Intelligence test, 20 questions of 20 marks from General Knowledge, 15 marks from knowledge of computer and IT concepts and contemporary technological development and innovation in this field. 15 questions of 20 marks will be asked from general information related to the state of Uttar Pradesh.
