UPSC success story: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Civil Services (Prelims) Examination 2024 on May 26. UPSC CSE is one of the most competitive recruitment exams in India for which candidates work hard day and night. Many candidates want to become an IAS or IPS officer by passing the UPSC CSE exam, but there are very few candidates who are able to achieve success in this exam. Today we are going to tell you about Dr. Aditya Sharma, who has cleared the UPSC CSE exam in the first attempt and secured 70th rank. After completing his medical graduation degree from the Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh, Aditya had decided to appear for the UPSC CSE exam.
Dr. Sharma first collected study material for IAS and started his preparation. During this period, he gave full focus to his optional subjects, essay and ethics papers and studied continuously.
Let us tell you, he had studied all the topics related to static subjects and current events thoroughly to prepare for Prelims and Mains examination. For the Prelims exam, he had made a plan to solve all the 100 questions. Which he used to do every day. After this, he prepared for each General Studies paper and his optional subject, Medical Science separately while preparing for the Mains exam. We all know that big answers have to be written in the Mains exam. In such a situation, Dr. Aditya had practiced a lot using various methods like maps, diagrams and flow charts to improve the answers. The benefit of which he got during the mains examination.
Let us tell you, there are three stages in the Civil Services Examination (CSE) examination conducted by UPSC. In which the first stage is Prelims, the second is Mains and the third stage is Interview.
UPSC CSE Prelims exam is a qualifying exam. Its marks are not added to the final examination. There are total 1750 marks for UPSC CSE Mains exam. The personality test i.e. interview has 275 marks.
