Due to the large number of candidates in the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO-ARO) Preliminary Examination-2023 of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, it was not possible to install mobile phone jammer at every centre. If sources of the Commission are to be believed, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission had sent a proposal to the government to shut down internet service in the concerned district on the day of the preliminary examination of RO-ARO, because this is done in the examinations of Rajasthan Public Service Commission. The government was not ready for this, because it could cause problems to the common people.

1076004 candidates had applied for RO/ARO Exam-2023. For the preliminary examination held on 11 February 2024, 2387 centers were created in 58 districts of the state.
