Amid allegations of paper leak of UP Review Officer (RO)/Assistant Review Officer (ARO) 2023 preliminary examination, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has recommended an investigation into the matter by STF. There is an uproar regarding the examination conducted on Sunday at 2387 centers in 58 districts of the state for a total of 411 posts of 334 RO and 77 ARO posts.
According to Commission Secretary Ashok Kumar, in view of the news published in newspapers regarding RO/ARO (Preliminary) Examination-2023, the Commission has constituted an internal committee to investigate this entire examination. Also, it has been decided to get STF investigated on all the points of RO/ARO (Preliminary) Examination-2023, for which a recommendation has been made to the government.
After investigation, appropriate decision will be taken at the commission level keeping in mind the purity of the examination. On the other hand, competitive students claim that the paper was out only after midnight on Saturday. The solution answer key started going viral on WhatsApp groups. Out of 1076004 candidates registered for this examination, 64 percent appeared.
Demonstration against Commission for cancellation of RO/ARO examination
Competitive students demonstrated outside the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission on Monday in protest against the leaking of RO/ARO papers. Raising slogans like ‘The paper is leaked, the government is absolutely weak’, the angry students burnt the effigy of the Chief Minister. The students demanded that the RO/ARO examination be canceled and conducted again. Allahabad University student leader Harendra Kumar claimed that the paper was going viral on WhatsApp before the exam began. The future of the students is constantly being played with. Warned the Commission that if the RO/ARO paper is not immediately canceled and a new date of examination is not set, then the state government should be ready to face protest from the students. Those who burnt the effigy included Shiva Kesarwani, Anand, Adarsh Bhadauria, Saddam Ansari, Avnish Yadav, Ajay Raj, Vikash, Ashutosh Maurya etc.
