UP Board 10th, 12th Exam 2024: Extensive preparations have been made for the UP Board examinations which are going to start from 22nd February. For this, foolproof plans have been made from the strong room to the security of the answer sheet collection centre. Also, LIU’s help will be taken to monitor sensitive and highly sensitive examination centres. UP Board examinations will continue till March 9. This time, a total of 55,25,290 candidates are registered, including 29,47,325 high school and 25,77,965 intermediate candidates. A total of 8265 examination centers have been set up by the board across the state for the examination. Among these, government examination centers are 566, aided examination centers are 3479 and unfunded examination centers are 4220.
Armed forces will monitor the strong room
Secondary Education Council Secretary Divyakant Shukla said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, extensive preparations have been made with the help of the police administration regarding security in the board exams. Armed forces are being arranged compulsorily for the security of the strong room, so that paper leak or any other kind of incident does not happen. Along with this, security arrangements are also being made at the collection center of answer sheets. The examination centers of the state which are in sensitive or hypersensitive category will be specially monitored through LIU.
To prevent copying from outside, the concerned CO and Police Station Head will patrol. He said that Sector Magistrates and Static Magistrates will be appointed during the board examinations and their training will also be done. To curb cheating, it has been agreed to implement Section 144 and other precautionary measures at the examination centers as per requirement. Not only this, photocopier shops near the examination center will also be banned, so that there is no confusion.
Help is being taken from various departments
The Secretary said that coordination has also been done with other departments for the examination. The Transport Department has been requested to operate the buses regularly as per the scheduled time and the concerned staff should be directed to cooperate with the candidates. An appeal has also been made to the Energy Department to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the examination period. The Basic Education Department has been asked to cooperate in relieving teachers for the duty of room inspector, while a request has also been made to provide officers for supervision.
At the same time, the Health Department has been requested to make arrangements for first aid in the examination centers and the Panchayati Raj and Urban Development Department has been requested to ensure cleanliness around the examination centers.
