UP Shikshak Bharti: Officers are not taking interest in appointment to the remaining 12091 posts of 72825 trainee teachers in council primary schools. The High Court, while issuing advertisement from January 22 to 25, had ordered to give the date of counseling in the week starting from February 5. The result of counseling was to be released by the last week of February. But neither the advertisement was released nor the counseling could be done. Shailesh Pandey of Pratapgarh, included in the 12091 list, says that the Basic Education Council is not following the High Court order.

What is the matter?

Despite counseling in various districts in 72825 teacher recruitment, many candidates who got more than the minimum cutoff marks unreserved (105) / reserved (90) were deprived of selection. On the petition of Pratapgarh candidate Rahul Pandey, the Supreme Court on November 2, 2015 had ordered to take representations from such candidates. By that time 58135 posts had been filled. On the orders of the court, about 75 thousand candidates gave their representation, out of which the list of 12091 candidates was declared eligible. However, later this matter got embroiled in a legal battle and till date the appointment process has not been completed.

It is expected that the UP government will soon consider this matter and complete the recruitment process for the remaining posts and will speed up the initiative to remove various obstacles faced by the candidates in getting government jobs.
