Constable recruitment examination for 60 thousand posts in UP Police will be held today on 17th and tomorrow on 18th February. Preparations for UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination have been completed in Lucknow. Railways, roadways and city transport will operate additional buses for the candidates coming from across the state and from non-states. For this, the Transport Corporation has created helpdesks at bus stands along with Charbagh-Lucknow Junction railway station. From here, candidates will be able to get information about their examination center and reach easily by city buses. This examination will be conducted from 10 to 12 in the morning and 3 to 5 in the afternoon. City buses will run on the routes of the examination center two hours before the commencement of the examination. After the completion of the examination, city buses will take the candidates to the bus stand and railway station. City Transport MD RK Tripathi said that based on the list of examination centres, preparations are being made to run 50 city buses. These buses will operate on routes connected to the examination centres.

Additional trains will run to meet the rush of candidates
In response to the letter sent to the Railways by Joint Police Commissioner Law and Order Upendra Aggarwal, Northern Railways said that in view of the pressure of the crowd of candidates, additional trains will be run. The officials will send the report of the crowd of candidates every two hours. Based on this report, special trains for candidates will be run within two hours.

Constable recruitment exam will be held at 113 centers in Lucknow
The recruitment examination will be held in two shifts on both days at 113 centres. For this, 856 police personnel including four ACPs have been put on duty. A static magistrate will also be posted at every examination centre. JCP Upendra Kumar Aggarwal said that 2 lakh 74 thousand 944 candidates will appear in the examination. DCP Salmantaj Patil will be the nodal officer for the examination and Jaya Shandilya will be the assistant nodal officer.

Extra bus in Prayagraj
A large crowd of candidates gathered at the Civil Lines bus stand since Friday morning to appear in the examination. Along with running 100 additional buses to take the candidates to their destinations, the roadways have also increased the frequency of many buses. In view of the increasing number of candidates in the afternoon, additional buses were ordered from Rajapur workshop and they were dispatched. Students kept leaving till late evening for Purvanchal route’s Jaunpur, Fish City, Azamgarh, Banaras, Gorakhpur, Basti, Ghazipur. ARM Jaikaran Singh of Civil Lines said that for the convenience of the candidates, a help desk has also been created along with additional counter. To avoid crowding at the bus stand, buses were parked at both the gates. The buses were dispatched as soon as they were filled. Additional roadways buses will be run on Saturday also.
