Candidates celebrated wildly in Lucknow after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered to cancel the UP Police Constable Exam 2023 and conduct the exam again within the next 6 months. Due to paper leak, these candidates were continuously protesting for the last several days and demanding re-examination. This recruitment examination was held on 17 and 18 February in various districts of the state. Yogi government has ordered to conduct the constable exam again within six months.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has also decided to investigate the complaints related to the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (Preliminary) Examination-2023 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission on February 11. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took this decision on Saturday. The Chief Minister said in a post on the social media platform In the same message he said that there can be no compromise on the sanctity of examinations. Those who play with the hard work of the youth will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action is certain to be taken against such unruly elements.

According to an official statement, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Home Department has also issued an order to cancel the examination. According to the order issued, on the basis of examination of the facts and information received regarding the police recruitment examination held on February 17 and 18, 2024, it has been decided to cancel this examination.


The government has instructed the Recruitment Board to ensure advance legal action by filing an FIR against those at whatever level there has been negligence. The government has decided to get the case investigated by the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police, instructions have also been given to take strictest action against the persons or institutions found guilty.


The government has given instructions to conduct the examination again with complete accuracy within six months and to provide the services of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation free of cost to the candidates. According to the statement, the Chief Minister has also decided to investigate the complaints related to the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (Preliminary) Examination-2023 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission on February 11.


Additional Chief Secretary (Appointment and Personnel) Devesh Chaturvedi has also issued an order in this regard. According to this, in view of the facts and complaints brought to the notice of the government regarding the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (Preliminary) Examination – 2023 held on 11th February, it has been decided that the complaints received in relation to the examination will be reviewed at the government level. But testing should be done.

It has been said in the order that if any person wants to bring to notice any kind of complaint regarding this examination or facts affecting its sanctity, then he can send his name and full address along with evidence to the e-mail of the Department of Personnel and Appointment. .D. But can be made available till 27th February.


It is noteworthy that for more than 60 thousand posts of constable (constable) of Uttar Pradesh Police, examination was conducted in all 75 districts of the state on 17th and 18th February in which about 48 lakh candidates had appeared. During the examination, about 244 ‘solvers’ and many people of the gang who were trying to crack the examination were caught. FIRs were also lodged in this matter at many places.


Meanwhile, an aide of the Chief Minister said that those who violated the confidentiality of the examination are on the ‘radar’ of the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police and till now many accused have been arrested. In protest against the alleged leaking of question paper of police recruitment examination, competitive students had agitated on Friday in front of the entrance of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission in Prayagraj and at various places in the state.
