UP Police Constable Exam: About 50 lakh candidates have applied for the recruitment of 60244 constables in UP Police. The paper will be of 300 marks, so obviously thousands of candidates will have the same marks. In such a situation, who will be selected for the next phase of physical test? Who will be placed higher in merit? UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has said that if two or more candidates have equal marks, preference will be given to those candidates who have B certificate or DOEC O level certificate of NCC or have two years experience in Territorial Army. If candidates with equal marks do not have any of these then those who are older will be placed higher in merit.

Even after this, if the marks of two or more candidates are same then the spelling of the names of the candidates (as per 10th class certificate) will be seen. The one whose name comes first in English alphabetical order will be higher in merit.

Let us tell you that in the written examination of 300 marks, there were questions on General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and Mental Ability, Mental Aptitude, IQ, Logical Ability. There will be total 150 questions. There will also be negative marking on wrong answers. 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for physical examination. In this, men will have to run 4.8 km in 25 minutes and women will have to run 2.4 km in 14 minutes.

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. There will be no interview in this recruitment. No waiting list will be prepared.

UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam is planned to be conducted on 18th February. It is being told that due to more applicants, the exam can be conducted in 2 to 3 shifts. Now the candidates are waiting for their admit card to arrive. If the UP Police Recruitment Board makes an official announcement by fixing the date of 18th February for the examination, then the admit cards of the candidates can be issued a week earlier i.e. around 10th February.
