UP Police Constable Exam: Written examination for recruitment to 60 thousand posts of constable in UP Police will be held from today. The police have geared up for the examination to be held in two shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Along with strict security arrangements, QRT has been deployed at hot-spots in and around 2385 examination centers set up in all 75 districts of the state. STF has also taken charge to stop cheating in the examination. As part of a massive operation conducted on the eve of the examination, 19 members of the Solver Gang have been arrested. Of these, eight were arrested by Ghazipur district police and six by STF from Varanasi, Agra and Jhansi. The gang caught in Ghazipur includes an Indian Coast Guard and an Army soldier. Also, five people have been arrested in Mau.

Entry will be available after biometric verification
Static magistrate is deployed at every center set up for the examination. According to the number of candidates, DSP to Sub Inspector will be present at the center as center supervisors. Candidates will be granted admission only after biometric verification.

Crowd of candidates gathered at rail-bus stations
The crowd of candidates appearing in the constable recruitment examination to be held on Saturday started gathering at Charbagh railway station from Friday night itself. The process of arrival of candidates by trains continued till late night. By 11 pm the entire waiting area was filled with crowd. Seeing the crowd, Railway and GRP officers also became ready. JCP Law and Order Upendra Kumar Agarwal reached the station. Many candidates went to hotels and places of acquaintances in auto tempo. Arrangements were also made for some people to stay in Smriti Upvan.

Ban on entry of vehicles in the parking area: JCP Upendra Kumar Aggarwal told DCP Raveena Tyagi, ADCP Manisha Singh and SP GRP that if the crowd of candidates increases, the entry of vehicles in the parking area should be stopped. Also, police force should be deployed at all five gates leading to the railway station. There should be arrangements to send the crowd from the railway station to the platform in an organized manner. No one should be allowed to stop inside the overbridge.

Elderly people and women will be able to go with their vehicles: JCP directed that when vehicles are stopped due to increase in crowd at porticos and parking areas, then vehicles carrying elderly people and women should not be stopped. Similarly, vehicles of disabled people will also not be stopped. It was also made clear that the entry of vehicles should be banned only when the crowd increases after the exam i.e. around 2 o’clock.

There was a crowd at the help desk: There was a crowd at the help desk set up for the candidates. Here the candidates were seen getting information about the examination centers as well as the train to return.

Go to the railway station only when necessary: ​​JCP has appealed to the citizens that in view of the constable recruitment examination on Saturday and Sunday, people should go near the station only when necessary. There will be a huge crowd of candidates after the exam on both these days.
