UP Board 10th, 12th Exam 2024: UP Board’s high school and intermediate examinations started on Thursday. 3,33,541 students have left the examination on the first day itself. Seven pseudo examinees (solvers) were also caught in the first shift examination. Of these, four solvers were caught in Deoria and one solver each in Azamgarh, Jaunpur and Aligarh. An FIR has been lodged against the seven solvers and a center administrator in Etah. At the same time, during inspection at different centers in the high school, five copycats were caught, including a girl student.

More than two lakh absent in the first shift exam
Board Secretary Dibyakant Shukla said that on the first day, 54,11,501 students from the state were registered for the examination at 8,265 centers for the examination of both the shifts. Out of this, 3,33,541 students remained absent. In the first shift in the morning (8.30 to 11.45 am), the examination of High School Hindi, Elementary Hindi and Intermediate Military Science subjects was held. For this, out of 29,43,786 candidates, 2,03,299 left the exam. Whereas, in the second shift examination, the examination of High School Commerce and Intermediate Hindi and General Hindi subjects was held in the afternoon.

Online monitoring from Lucknow’s Vidya Samiksha for the first time
Online monitoring of UP Board examination was done for the first time from Vidya Samiksha Command Control Room in Lucknow. Apart from this, the examination was completed safely under the online monitoring of Headquarters, Regional Office and DIOS Office. 1,297 sector magistrates, 430 zonal magistrates, 416 mobile teams and 75 state level supervisory officers were appointed in the state.

More than 12 thousand remained absent in the district
UP Board examinations started in Prayagraj from Thursday. The first day’s examination was conducted under the surveillance of one voice recorder and two CCTV cameras in each room of 335 centers in the district. On the first day, in the first shift, the high school Hindi subject exam was held while the intermediate military science paper was held. In the second shift, high school commerce subject and Hindi intermediate exams were held. 12,411 students left Hindi papers in both the shifts. In this, 7124 high school and 5287 intermediate candidates were absent. There are 1,01,163 students registered in high school and 1,00,887 students in intermediate. 94,036 students appeared in high school and 95,600 in intermediate to appear for the examination. Only 22 people appeared for the high school commerce exam in the second shift.

Examination conducted in eight jails
Board examinations were conducted in eight jails of the state. 257 prisoners were registered to appear in the examination. Of these, 139 prisoners were from 12th and 118 from 10th.
