UP Board Exam 2024: UP Board Intermediate Mathematics exam will be held on 29th February. Experts believe that the more you practice in mathematics, the better your results will be. If you want to get good marks in the examination then you must solve the unsolved papers of at least the last five years. If possible, practice at home to solve the paper in three hours, just like you do in the exam. This will increase confidence and you will not feel pressured during the exam. Before the examination, make sure to revise the syllabus and continuously practice solving examples and questions related to each topic. Multiple choice questions usually come from set theory, matrix integration, differential and vector analysis. Practice these very short answer questions adequately. Short answer questions, functions, set theory, vector analysis, inverse circular functions and coordinate geometry are asked more. Practice enough on these questions.

Long answer questions: Applications of differentiation and integration, determination of areas enclosed by curves by integration, properties of definite integral and probability are asked. Practice such questions a lot. Good marks can be obtained by focusing more on matrices, determinants and inverse trigonometric functions.

Special:
● Be sure to read the questions given in the question paper carefully before attempting them.
● In the question paper, solve those questions whose solution is clear first and then solve the questions which have difficulty later.
● Before solving the questions, make sure whether you have answered the question correctly or not.
● Be sure to write all the steps required to solve the questions.
● Make sure to use necessary pictures and graphs to explain the solutions to the questions.
● Solve questions in a neat and clear manner, there should be no overwriting and excessive cutting.
● Do the rough work on the last page of the answer book or by drawing the margin on the right side and mark the rough work on the upper part of that page. After doing the rough work, cut it with a straight line.
● While solving linear programming problems, make sure to use scale and pencil in drawing lines.
● Memorize all the standard integrals by listing them in integration.

Number division:
units digit
Relations and Functions 10
algebra 15
Calculus (differentiation, integration) 44
Vector and three dimensional geometry 18
linear programming 05
probability 08
sum 100

Students should pay special attention to the fact that marks are awarded at every step in solving questions in Mathematics. Solve very short answer, short and long answer questions sequentially. 15 minutes before the end of the exam, check the solutions of all the questions once again and also check whether any question has been missed. – Sanjay Singh, Teacher Mathematics CAV Inter College
