SSC OTR: Staff Selection Commission has released the new update for the candidates after launching the new website ssc.gov.in. A few days ago, SSC had asked all the candidates to do fresh one time registration (OTR) on the new website. In the latest notice, SSC has said that a provision has been made for the candidates to take live photographs while applying for all the recruitments on the new website. That is, during the application, the candidates will have to upload a live photo from their laptop/computer’s webcam or Android mobile. A provision for capturing such live photographs has been made in the application module of the new website. Till now, during the application on the SSC website, the candidates had to upload the pre-taken photograph.

SSC has said that candidates will have to take the following precautions while taking photographs –
– Candidates should find a place with good lighting and plain background while taking photos with webcam.
– Before taking a photo, make sure the camera is at eye level.
– Position yourself directly in front of the webcam and look straight ahead.
– Candidates should not wear cap, mask or glasses while taking live photo.

Let us tell you that the candidates preparing for all the recruitment examinations including CGL, CHSL, CAPF CPO, MTS, GD Constable, JE, JHT and Stenographer will now have to fill the new OTR (One Time Registration) by visiting ssc.gov.in. Actually SSC has launched its new website ssc.gov.in. OTR filled on the old website ssc.nic.in is now invalid. Information about all future recruitments and their application process will be through the new website ssc.gov.in only. Once the OTR is filled on the new website, the fresh OTR will be valid for all the new recruitments that will come on it.

Fill OTR like this on the new website
– Visit the new SSC website ssc.nic.in.
– You have to click on the ‘Login/Register’ link given on the home page and then on the Register Now link. After this the candidates will be able to reach the OTR page. You will be able to fill your OTR by following the guidelines.

Let us tell you that SSC conducts recruitment on vacant Group C Non-Technical and Group B Non-Gazetted posts in various ministries of the Central Government.
