SSC GD Constable Admit Card: Before the release of admit card for SSC GD Constable Recruitment Exam, the application status of the candidates has been released. Applied candidates can check whether their application form has been accepted or rejected. Candidates can check these details by visiting the website of their respective SSC region. Although currently the application status of only Southern Region and Karnataka Region has been released, soon the application status of other regions will also be released. This time the total number of vacancies of SSC GD Constable is 26146. 47,45,501 candidates have applied for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Rifleman (GD) in SSF and Assam Rifles 2024. That means there are 181 contenders for one post. Those who applied include 645177 candidates from unreserved category, OBC 2114972, SC 1100424, ST 611474 and 267940 candidates from EWS category and 5514 candidates from ex-serviceman category.

Some of the vacant posts are 6174 posts of BSF, 11025 posts of CISF, 3337 posts of CRPF, 635 posts of SSB, 3189 posts of ITBP, 1490 posts of Assam Rifles, 296 posts of SSF. There are a total of 23347 posts for men and a total of 2799 for women. 9626 posts among men and 1183 posts among women are unreserved. Among men, 3334 posts are reserved for SC, 2354 ST, 4776 OBC, 3257 posts are reserved for EWS category. Whereas among women, 408 posts are reserved for SC, 248 posts for ST, 584 OBC, 376 for EWS.

How will the selection be done?
First there will be written examination (computer based). Successful candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PST). Those who pass PET PST will be called for medical and document verification. The final merit list will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. PET PST will be merely qualifying. Only passing in PET and PST will be required.

GD Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 will be conducted on 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 February and 1, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 March, 2024.

The paper will be of one hour. Only 80 questions will be asked in the paper. In the written examination, questions related to General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Maths and English/Hindi subjects will be asked. 20-20 questions will be asked from all four sections. All sections will be of 40-40 marks.

There will be negative marking. One fourth mark will be deducted for wrong answer.

Physical Qualification Rules (PST)
Male candidates – 170 cms.
Female candidates – 157 cms.
Chest – Male candidates – 80 cm. (expanded – 85 cm)
