SSC Constable Recruitment Result: Staff Selection Commission has released the revised result of Constable Recruitment Examination (for Manipur) in Central Paramilitary Forces. The Commission said that there were some errors in date compiling, regarding which the candidates were continuously appealing to the Commission. On the demand of the candidates, the Commission has released the result on correction of errors in the data. According to the information released by SSC, there was some error in compiling the data from the computer, which has been rectified.

The Commission said that the results of the recruitment examination 2022 for constables in Central Forces, SSF and riflemen in Assam Rifles and constables in Narcotics Control Bureau were released on August 20, 2023. Then the result was released for the candidates of all the states and union territories. But due to tension in Manipur, the examinations were held later and the result here has also been released later.

Candidates were to be selected for a total of 49,590 posts in the SSC final result. Of these, 45,217 candidates were declared successful for provisional selection, while the result of 1337 candidates for Manipur was withheld.

The Commission’s statement said that at the time of release of the final result of SSC Constable in August 2023, the result for Manipur had not been released. There was unrest in Manipur during the SSC constable physical test due to which the recruitment process was delayed. This is the reason why the results for only 597 vacancies for Manipur were not released in August but were declared on March 15, 2024.

Due to unrest in Manipur, the physical and medical examination was completed in several phases. 219 people have been killed during the unrest since May last year. Here, on May 3, 2024, violence broke out when people of the Mati community were organizing ‘Jati Ekta March’ to include themselves in the ST category.
