School Holidays in April 2024: With the final board examinations of most states almost over, a new academic session is about to start in April. Let us tell you that there are some holidays in April due to some local festivals. Let us know about this in detail.

According to the calendar, Eid is on Thursday, but if the moon is not seen the night before, then the date of the festival will be postponed to Friday, April 12. If this happens then students will get a long holiday on 12, 13 (Saturday) and 14 (Sunday) April.

Schools will also remain closed on 14th April (Sunday) due to Ambedkar Jayanti and 21st April (Sunday) due to Mahavir Jayanti. Apart from this, schools will also remain closed on 7th and 28th April (Sunday). In many states schools remain closed on Saturdays also.

On the other hand, board exam students are eagerly waiting for the results. Results are expected to be released soon in Uttar Pradesh. The board has already completed the evaluation process. CBSE Class 12 board exams will end by April 2, while the conduct of the engineering entrance exam, JEE Mains 2024 Session 2, will begin from April 4 and will continue till April 15.

Meanwhile, many schools will start summer vacations in May. According to Delhi School Calendar 2024, summer vacations will start from May 11 and end on June 30. However, school teachers will have to come and work in schools from June 28 to June 30, 2024.

Autumn holidays will be from October 9 to October 11 and winter holidays will be from January 1 to January 15, 2025. In the year 2024, schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed for more than 100 days. There will be summer vacation for 41 days in the schools of the state. It will start from 21st May and continue till 30th June.
