RRC ALP Recruitment 2024: On Saturday, the candidates created a ruckus in and around Rajendra Nagar Terminal demanding to increase the number of vacancies for the appointment of Assistant Loco Pilot in Railways. Rail operations were disrupted for about three hours. The agitating students clashed with the police who came to explain. After this, Patrakar Nagar police along with RPF-GRP took command. The uproar subsided after a dozen candidates were taken into custody. Also carried out flag march in the terminal premises and surrounding areas.

After the uproar at Rajendra Nagar Terminal, the candidates started moving towards Rajendra Nagar Coaching Complex. They captured the tracks there from 2 pm to 3 pm. The glass panes of two trains were also damaged due to stone pelting by these students. Due to the agitation, operation of a dozen trains was disrupted between 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Five trains including Magadh and Shramjeevi remained standing at the junction. Train number 15714 Katihar Intercity, train number 03214 Barharwa Rampur Hat, 22406 Magadh, 18621 Patliputra Express, 12392 Shramjeevi Express remained standing in Patna.

What is the demand of the candidates? The candidates told that the Railway Recruitment Board has invited applications for appointment to only five thousand six hundred and 59 posts, whereas the number should be increased to more than one lakh. The examination calendar should also be released. The candidates said that they have been waiting for appointment for five years. Meanwhile, RPF GRP and BMP personnel conducted a flag march at Danapur station.

A large number of GRP, RPF and police of Patrakar Nagar police station evacuated the premises at 4.15 pm. After this the movement could be restored. Later the security forces took out a flag march. Police team will also be deployed along with the railway on Sunday
