Rajasthan PTET Notification 2024: PTET notification has been issued for admission to 2-year B.Ed and 4-year integrated BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed courses in Rajasthan for the session 2024-25. The application process for PTET has started today from 6th March 2024. Interested candidates will be able to apply by visiting www.ptetvmou2024.com till 31 March 2024. This year the responsibility of conducting PTET has been given to Vardhaman Mahavir Open University, Kota. Whereas last year it was handed over to Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara. Through PTET examination, two-year B.Ed course and 4-year BA B.Ed/B.Sc B.Ed course are conducted in all the government and private teacher training colleges of the state.

PTET Exam Dates (PTET 2024 Exam date)
Vardhman Mahavir Open University Kota will conduct the PTET examination for the year 2024 on June 9. Through online counselling, candidates will be allotted B.Ed college as per merit.

Ability
Graduate/Post Graduate candidates with at least 50% marks are eligible to appear for the two-year B.Ed PTET examination. 12th pass candidates with at least 50% marks can apply to appear in Pre BA B.Ed B.Sc B.Ed 2024 Admission Test. In both the above eligibility rules, there is 5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, disabled, abandoned and widowed female candidates of Rajasthan i.e. they are also eligible with 45% marks in graduation/12th.

Know how many applications were received last year
– In the year 2023, 517558 candidates had applied. 340194 candidates had applied for 2-year B.Ed and 177364 candidates had applied for 4-year B.Ed.

Entrance examination fee was kept at Rs 500. Applications can also be filled through e-Mitra.

PTET exam will be offline. There will be objective type multiple choice questions. All answers have to be filled in the OMR sheet. There will be four sections – Mental Ability, Teaching Attitude and Aptitude Test, General Awareness and Language Proficiency. Every question will be of 3 marks. The total paper will be of 600 marks.

Candidates from outside Rajasthan will be considered as general category. In B.Ed seats, there will be 16 percent reservation for SC category, 12 percent for ST, 21 percent for OBC, 10 percent for EWS, 5 percent for MBC, 5 percent for disabled. Women (8 percent seats in this will be for widow category women and 2 percent seats for divorcee category women) as per the rules of the state government.
