Poor Girl child free education admission to classes 6 to 8 know all government schemes – UP: Stay, food, study of poor girls in this school are all free, take advantage of these schemes, Education News

In Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, run by the Social Welfare Department in Sahjanwa, the process of admission to the institution of daughters of parents living below the poverty line in classes 6, 7 and 8 for the academic session 2024-25 has started.

District Social Welfare Officer Vashisht Narayan Singh said that the examination for admission to classes 6 to 8 is being held on April 20. Applications for admission can be obtained from the office till 6th April. Along with accommodation, food, breakfast, school dress and text books will be available free of cost to the girl students in the school.

Let us tell you, there are many such schemes for girls in the country, through which they are provided free education. These schemes include Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Scheme, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) etc.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme

Launched in 2015, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao aims to increase the declining number of girls and promote their empowerment. This scheme provides financial assistance for the education and health of girls. The scheme is implemented through a three-tier structure: district, state and national levels.

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV)

This scheme was started in the year 2004 to provide education to girls from deprived sections of the society. Under the scheme, residential schools for girls are established in areas with low female literacy rates. At the same time, they are provided education till class 8th and hostel facilities are also provided. The objective of this scheme is to provide educational facilities to girls from families belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, Minority communities and below poverty line in difficult areas.
