The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will release a new syllabus for classes 3rd and 6th for the academic session 2024-25 starting from April 1. There will be no change in the syllabus and textbooks of other classes. CBSE officials gave this information. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in a letter sent to affiliated schools said that NCERT has informed it that work is underway on new syllabus and textbooks for classes 3 and 6. NCERT had informed in this regard through a letter on March 18. CBSE Director (Academic) Joseph Emmanuel said schools are advised to adopt these new curriculum and textbooks for classes 3 and 6 in place of the textbooks published by NCERT by the year 2023. The syllabus will be sent online to all schools after receiving the material from NCERT. CBSE will also organize capacity building programs for school heads and teachers to make them aware of the innovative learning approaches envisaged in the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. The Education Ministry had notified the changes last year while revising the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) after 18 years.

Students will have the facility to:
NCERT Director Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani said that the bridge course will be available on NCERT website by 31st March. This will provide great convenience to the students. It will be available here for free for everyone. This is according to the new education policy.
