NEET UG 2024: The National Testing Agency has issued an important notice to the candidates of the medical entrance examination NEET regarding the problems related to Aadhaar authentication faced during the application. In this, NTA has issued three important information for the candidates. In the first point, NTA has talked about Aadhaar authentication or data issue. It said that if any candidate is facing Aadhaar authentication or data related problems during registration, please login using your application number and password (Aadhaar login is disabled). Re-verify your Aadhaar and correct any mistakes. For any further assistance please email neet@nta.ac.in, neet1@nta.ac.in or call 011-40759000.

2. In the second point, NTA said, ‘For those candidates who have successfully paid the fees and want to make corrections in their details, a correction window will open after the completion of registration.’

3. In the third point, NTA said, ‘Candidates should use only their Aadhaar in the NEET registration process. It will be used at various stages during the NEET UG process including entry into the examination center and admission to medical colleges.

This response of NTA has come after considering the requests of those candidates who were demanding extension of NEET application date due to non-linking of Aadhaar and mobile number. Some candidates say that while filling the NEET UG registration form, they are not receiving the verification OTP on email. Let us tell you that the last date of application for NEET UG is March 9. Due to lack of linking with Aadhaar mobile, students are demanding extension of the application period.

NEET exam will be conducted on 5th May 2024 while the result will be announced on 14th June 2024. Through NEET, admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and various other undergraduate medical courses is done in all the medical colleges of the country. Apart from this, candidates for Military Nursing Service (MNS) will also be able to take admission in B.Sc Nursing course of Armed Forces Medical Service Hospital through the marks of NEET UG exam.

Last year, a record 20.87 lakh applications were received for NEET. This time the applications have crossed 21 lakh. Whereas currently there are 108940 MBBS seats in the country. Tamil Nadu has the maximum number of 74 medical colleges. However, Karnataka has the highest number of MBBS seats at 11745.

Mobile number and email ID must be active and correct.
Candidates should also keep in mind that at the time of application, students will have to fill their mobile number and email ID. It is very important for it to be correct and always active. OTP will come on these only. The counseling process will also run through this mobile number.
