1.39 lakh applications from Bihar in NEET





Patna, Senior Correspondent. A record 23,81,833 lakh students will appear in the exam this year for NEET UG 2024. More than 24 lakh students had registered for this, but more than 23.81 lakh students have deposited the fee.

At the same time, this time 1 lakh 39 thousand 398 students from Bihar have registered. Whereas last year 1 lakh 3 thousand had registered. The applications are quite high compared to the medical colleges of Bihar. Of the more than 23 lakh students who have registered for NEET UG, more than 10 lakh are OBC NCLs. While six lakh are general category, 3.5 lakh are Scheduled Caste (SC), 1.8 lakh are General-EWS and another 1.5 lakh are from ST category.

Last year there were 20,87,449 applications for NEET UG. This time more girls than boys have registered for NEET UG.

NEET exam will be conducted on 5th May 2024 while the result will be announced on 14th June 2024. Through NEET, admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and various other undergraduate medical courses is done in all the medical colleges of the country. Apart from this, candidates for Military Nursing Service (MNS) will also be able to take admission in B.Sc Nursing course of Armed Forces Medical Service Hospital through the marks of NEET UG exam.
