Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana: 30 thousand girl students of the state who have graduated from various universities will soon get Rs 50-50 thousand as incentive. On the request of the Education Department, it has received an amount of Rs 150 crore under this head. Now, the department has started the exercise to release this amount. Officials of the department say that the process of withdrawing the amount and then transferring it to the bank accounts of the girl students is going on.
Under the Chief Minister Girls (Graduate) Incentive Scheme, these girl students will be given Rs 50,000 each. Department officials say that the dues have to be paid from the said amount. The amount will be released first to those students whose applications have come first and which have been approved after scrutiny. However, officials also say that more than 30 thousand applications from various universities have been approved under this scheme. At present, an amount of Rs 150 crore will be paid into the accounts of 30 thousand girl students. The remaining girl students will be paid the amount in the next phase.
It is known that the state government had started the above scheme with the aim of increasing the number of girls among the students pursuing higher education. Under this scheme, Rs 25,000 each are given to unmarried intermediate passed girls. However, in giving incentive amount to girls who have passed graduation, both married and unmarried have been included in this scheme.
Payment has been made to Rs 1.61 lakh
Till now, payment of Rs 50-50 has already been made in the accounts of 1 lakh 61 thousand graduated girl students. A provision has been made to give Rs 50,000 each to girl students who graduate after April 1, 2021. Earlier, under this head, all the girl students who passed graduation were given Rs. 25 thousand each. According to the information received, an amount of Rs 25-25 thousand has been paid to all the girls who have passed graduation, more than 2.5 lakh.
