MBBS Seats: If the number of patients remains less in all the medical colleges including Shri Krishna Medical College, Muzaffarpur, then the National Medical Commission (NMC) will reduce their seats. In this regard, NMC has sent a letter to the principals of medical colleges asking for information on 11 points till March 31. After the letter from NMC, SKMCH Principal Prof. Abha Rani Sinha has asked all the departments to prepare a report. NMC has asked how many patients came to SKMCH and other medical colleges till 2 pm and how many patients were admitted to the wards till 10 am. At present, admission to MBBS course is available on 120 seats in SKMCH.

Information has to be given about the patients who came from January to November. All medical colleges have to give information about the patients who came from January 2023 to November 2023. Apart from this, information about the patients admitted in the ward during this period also has to be given. Apart from this, details of how many beds are there in the hospital and the average number of patients undergoing major operations every day have to be given. There are currently one thousand beds in EsecMCH. Recently, CM Nitish Kumar had announced to expand it to 2500 beds.

– Medical colleges have to give information on 11 points till 31

Details of delivery and death of patients will also be ready
Details of normal deliveries and deaths of patients in the medical college will also be sent to NMC. Apart from this, a report is also being made on how many classes are conducted in the medical college in a day. NMC has asked the medical college what is the daily workload of one of its departments. Along with this, many tests are done through microbiology and microscope.

New PG course will not start in SKMCH
No new PG course will be started in SKMCH this session. The name of Sri Krishna Medical College is not in the list of applicant colleges from NMC. To open a new course in the medical college, applications have been made to only two colleges from entire Bihar. These include Madhubani Medical College and Netaji Subhash Medical College, Patna. Only Sasaram Medical College has applied for increasing the seats.
