March 2024 School Holidays: A new academic year will start for the students in the month of April 2024. While the month of March is the month of exams, there are also many holidays due to festivals. The march is special for the Muslim community because Ramadan will start from the second week of the month. However, the exact date of Ramadan will be decided on the basis of sighting of the moon in Saudi Arabia. Let us know in detail when and when the holidays will take place.

Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Jayanti will be celebrated on 5 March. Maha Shivratri will be celebrated on 8 March. While Holika Dahan will be celebrated on March 24 and Holi with colors on March 25, Good Friday will be celebrated on March 29. Easter will be celebrated on 31st March. Let us tell you, there are a total of 5 Saturdays and Sundays in March and students will be able to enjoy these days also.

Almost all schools across India remain closed on both Saturday and Sunday. At the same time, in some schools there is a holiday on the third Saturday or the last Saturday also. However, every state decides the holidays given on festivals according to its own.

These states announced holidays

-Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments have announced closure of schools for three days for Maha Shivaratri starting from March 8. Let us tell you, there is a continuous holiday of 3 days because after Maha Shivratri, the second Saturday and Sunday of the month is coming.

– Students can expect holidays for Good Friday on March 29 and Easter on March 31. The decision to grant leave is in the hands of the state government or the central government.

Important advice for students

– Board exams are going on, students are advised to make their exam schedule and prepare keeping the festival in mind. Along with this, do not play Holi excessively, so that your health does not deteriorate and avoid eating excessive fried food prepared in Indian homes on the occasion of festivals.

– CBSE 10th exams will end before Holi, the last exam will be held on March 13.

– CBSE Class 12 Business Studies and History examinations are scheduled to be held on March 27 and 28, immediately after Holi.
