There is bumper recruitment for Sailor GD and Assistant Commandant in Indian Coast Guard. Under Indian Coast Guard Sailor GD Recruitment 2024, 260 vacancies have been released while 71 vacancies have been released for Assistant Commandant. There are 50 vacancies for Assistant Commandant General Duty GD and 20 vacancies for Technical Engineer. The application process for Sailor GD will be started from 13 February 2024 and for Assistant Commandant from 15 February. The last date for filling the sailor form has been fixed as 27 February 2024. The last date of application for Assistant Commandant is 28 February 2024. Interested candidates will be able to apply online by visiting joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in.

In Indian Coast Guard Sailor Recruitment, 102 posts for general category, 26 posts for EWS category, 57 posts for OBC, 28 posts for ST and 47 posts for SC will be recruited. The examination for the candidates applying for Sailor posts will be conducted in April 2024. There will be recruitment for 79 posts in North Region, 66 posts in West Region, 68 posts in North East Region, 33 posts in East Region, 12 posts in North West Region, 3 posts in Andaman and Nicobar Region.

Sailor (General Duty): 12th pass with Maths and Physics. SC/ST/OBC category will be given relaxation in upper age as per rules.

Maximum age – 22 years

Qualification for the post of Assistant Commandant-
For General Duty Officer

Educational qualification
Graduation with at least 60% marks and
It is necessary to pass 12th with Maths and Physics subjects. The aggregate of Maths and Physics should be at least 60 percent.
SC, ST will get 5% relaxation in marks at degree level. There will be no relaxation in marks in 12th.

Assistant Commandant Technical Engineer
Whereas for Technical Engineer posts, candidates must have engineering with 60 percent marks.
It is necessary to pass 12th with Maths and Physics subjects. The aggregate of Maths and Physics should be at least 60 percent.

Selection process for both the posts
Selection for the post of Sailor – Computer Based Exam, Assessment Test, Physical Fitness Test, Document Verification and Medical Exam.

Selection for the post of Assistant Commandant – Shortlisted candidates will first undergo written examination. After this the students will be called for psychological test, group task and interview.

Fees for both the above posts
The application fee for General/OBC/EWS category has been fixed at Rs 300. SC/ST category candidates can fill the free application form to join this recruitment.
