The advance city intimation slip of BE B.Tech Paper-1 of JEE Main exam has been released. Candidates can visit the JEE Main website jeemain.nta.ac.in to check which city their exam center is in and on which date the exam is. Earlier, details of exam cities for B.Arch and B.Planning exams were released. JEE Main B.Arch exam will be held on January 24. After this, examinations for BE-B.Tech will be held on 27, 29, 30, 31 January and 1 February. JEE Main will not be conducted on 25, 26 and 28 January. JEE Main admit cards will be released three days before the exam date. The result of JEE Main Session 1 will come on 12th February.

On the other hand, according to NTA, this time 12 lakh 30 thousand 347 students have registered, which is the highest after 2019. In 2019, 12 lakh 37 thousand 892 students had registered in JEE. Session-2 examination will be held on 1 April 2024 and 15 April 2024.

Let us tell you that there are two papers in JEE Main. Paper-1 gives admission to BE/B.Tech. Paper-1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering courses (BE/B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other participating State Government funded/recognized institutes/universities. JEE Main exam is also a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper-2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.

After the completion of JEE Main examinations, the rank of students will be released on the basis of best NTA score of both the sessions. Candidates securing first 2,50,000 ranks in JEE Main result will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced test. Admission to IIT is done through JEE Advanced.

Like 2023, JEE Main 2024 will also be conducted in 11 regional languages ​​apart from English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

JEE Main 2024 will be conducted according to the marking scheme of last year. Each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Maths – will be divided into two sections. Section A will have 30 questions and Section B will have 10 questions. That means the total number of questions in the paper will be 90. However, a candidate has to solve only five questions from Section B (total 15), which means 75 questions have to be solved.

Talking about B.Tech-BE paper, there will be three subjects in it – Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Section A will have 20-20-20 questions from all three subjects. Section B will have 10-10-10 questions from all three subjects. That means there will be a total of 90 questions.
