Applications for session 2 of the engineering entrance exam JEE Main 2024 will start from today. Candidates who want to appear for JEE Main 2024 April session can apply by visiting the NTA JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. The last date for application is March 2. The second session of JEE Main 2024 will be conducted from April 1 to April 15, 2024. Let us tell you that during the application process of JEE Main Session-1, the candidates were given the option to apply simultaneously for both the first session and second session. The option to pay the examination fee for both the sessions together was also given. Students who have already opted to appear in both the sessions should apply again. Only those who had not chosen the earlier option should apply.

More than one application form submitted by a candidate will not be accepted and the result will be cancelled. Earlier, the JEE Main Session-1 examination was completed on 1 February. The date for releasing the results of the first phase of JEE Main exam has been fixed as February 12.

Let us also tell you that no candidate is bound to participate in both the sessions of JEE Main Examination 2024. Those who will appear for both the sessions, their best score will be considered.

– Scanned image of PwD certificate, if applicable.

According to NTA, this time 12 lakh 30 thousand 347 students have registered, which is the highest after 2019. In 2019, 12 lakh 37 thousand 892 students had registered for JEE. Session-2 examination will be held on 1 April 2024 and 15 April 2024.

Let us tell you that there are two papers in JEE Main. Paper-1 gives admission to BE/B.Tech. Paper-1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering courses (BE/B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other participating State Government funded/recognized institutes/universities. JEE Main exam is also a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper-2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.

After the completion of JEE Main examinations, the rank of students will be released on the basis of best NTA score of both the sessions. Candidates securing first 2,50,000 ranks in JEE Main result will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced test. Admission to IIT is done through JEE Advanced.

exam pattern
JEE Main 2024 will be conducted according to the marking scheme of last year. Each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Maths – will be divided into two sections. Section A will have 30 questions and Section B will have 10 questions. That means the total number of questions in the paper will be 90. However, a candidate has to solve only five questions from Section B (total 15), which means 75 questions have to be solved.

Talking about B.Tech-BE paper, there will be three subjects in it – Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Section A will have 20-20-20 questions from all three subjects. Section B will have 10-10-10 questions from all three subjects. That means there will be a total of 90 questions.
