JEE Main 2024: BE and B.Tech Paper-1 of JEE Main Session 2 exam will start from April 4. The exam is being conducted in two shifts – 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. JEE Main B.Tech exam April session exam will run till 9th ​​April. Paper-2 BArch B Planning will be held on 12th April. 12 lakh students will appear in the second phase examination. In the morning shift, you have to reach the examination center half an hour earlier by 8.30 am. Have to reach there by 2.30 in the afternoon. Candidates should not forget to carry JEE Main Admit Card, Photo ID Proof, Self Declaration, Blue or Black Ball Pen, One Passport Size Photograph.

Only these things are allowed to be taken in the exam
1- JEE Main 2024 Admit Card
2- Filled self declaration form
3- Transparent black or blue ballpoint pen.
4- Additional photo to be pasted on the attendance sheet
5- Transparent water bottle.
6- If the candidate has diabetes then he/she can carry sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) with him/her.

Dress Code- NTA has not fixed any specific dress code for girl students. However, it is advisable to wear clothes with fewer pockets. You are also asked to come wearing a dress without accessories. Avoid wearing any type of jewellery. Wearing metallic things creates problem in frisking. Do not wear muffler and cap.

To get 99 percentile in JEE Mains 2024, candidates need to score more than 160 marks. However, this figure of JEE marks and percentile may be different every year.

Let us tell you that there are two papers in JEE Main. Paper-1 gives admission to BE/B.Tech. Paper-1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering courses (BE/B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other participating State Government funded/recognized institutes/universities. JEE Main exam is also a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper-2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.

This time 75 percent students have opted for both the sessions of JEE Main examination. After the completion of JEE Main examinations, the rank of students will be released on the basis of best NTA score of both the sessions. Candidates securing first 2,50,000 ranks in JEE Main result will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced test. Admission to IIT is done through JEE Advanced.

Like 2023, JEE Main 2024 will also be conducted in 11 regional languages ​​apart from English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

JEE Main 2024 will be conducted according to the marking scheme of last year. Each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Maths – will be divided into two sections. Section A will have 30 questions and Section B will have 10 questions. That means the total number of questions in the paper will be 90. However, a candidate has to solve only five questions from Section B (total 15), which means 75 questions have to be solved.

Talking about B.Tech-BE paper, there will be three subjects in it – Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Section A will have 20-20-20 questions from all three subjects. Section B will have 10-10-10 questions from all three subjects. That means there will be a total of 90 questions.
