JEE Main 2024 Notification: NTA JEE Mains registration begins jeemain nta ac notice syllabus exam pattern

JEE Main 2024: The application process for the engineering entrance exam JEE Main 2024 has started. National Testing Agency (NTA) has also released the detailed notification and syllabus of the entrance examination of the first session of JEE Main. Students can check the notification by visiting jeemain.nta.ac.in and apply online. Keep in mind that this time NTA has launched a new website of JEE Main. Earlier the JEE Main website was jeemain.nta.nic.in whereas this time it is jeemain.nta.ac.in. The last date of application for JEE Main Session-1 entrance is 30 November 2023. JEE Main Session-1 exam will be held on 24 January and 1 February 2024 while Session-2 exam will be held on 1 April 2024 and 15 April 2024. Information about exam city will be given in the second week of January. Admit cards will be issued three days before the exam date. The result of JEE Main Session 1 will come on 12th February.

Let us tell you that there are two papers in JEE Main. Paper-1 gives admission to BE/B.Tech. Paper-1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering courses (BE/B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other participating State Government funded/recognized institutes/universities. JEE Main exam is also a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper-2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.

After the completion of JEE Main examinations, the rank of students will be released on the basis of best NTA score of both the sessions. Candidates securing first 2,50,000 ranks in JEE Main result will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced test. Admission to IIT is done through JEE Advanced.

For which phase to apply?
Candidates have the option to apply for both the first or second session of JEE Main together. This means that if one wants to apply for Session 1 only, he or she will have to pay the Session 1 fee during the application window and when the application window for Session 2 opens again, they will have to pay the application and fee for the same. Will get a chance for payment.

JEE Main will be held in 13 languages
Like 2023, JEE Main 2024 will also be conducted in 11 regional languages ​​apart from English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

JEE Main 2024 will be conducted according to the marking scheme of last year. Each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Maths – will be divided into two sections. Section A will have 30 questions and Section B will have 10 questions. That means the total number of questions in the paper will be 90. However, a candidate has to solve only five questions from Section B (total 15), which means 75 questions have to be solved.

Talking about B.Tech-BE paper, there will be three subjects in it – Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Section A will have 20-20-20 questions from all three subjects. Section B will have 10-10-10 questions from all three subjects. That means there will be a total of 90 questions. The first shift of computer based examination will be from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm.
