All government ITIs of Bihar will be made centers of excellence this year. In the first phase, the process of converting 60 ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) into centers of excellence has been completed. The Labor Resources Department has started the work of the second phase. In this, action will be taken to make 89 ITIs centers of excellence. After having a Center of Excellence, teaching of other modern subjects including Internet of Things (IoT), Product Designer and Developer, Cam Programmer CNC Milling, Product Designer Generic will start in ITI. This will directly benefit about 32 thousand students studying in ITI.

According to departmental officials, the work of upgrading ITI was going on from the year 2022. Under this, labs and workshops were being built. State-of-the-art labs were being built through the building construction department. First of all, labs were built in 20 ITIs and in the remaining 40 the building construction department built them later. Now the labs are ready in all 60 ITIs of the first phase and teaching of modern subjects has started here. In the second phase, action has been started to develop the remaining 89 ITIs as Centers of Excellence. The process of constructing labs in these ITIs will be completed phase wise. The department is trying to start teaching modern subjects in all ITIs from the new session next year.

Advanced Centers for upskilling in cutting-edge areas related to Industry 4.0, Product Design and Development, Product Validation and Virtual Analytics, Design for Artisans and Handicrafts, Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), Modern Automotive Maintenance Repair, Battery Electric Vehicle Training, IoT Will facilitate and facilitate Digital Instrumentation, Process Control and Automation with HMI, PLC SCADA, Advanced Manufacturing and Prototyping, Industrial Robotics with Welding, AI-based Virtual Welding and Painting, Advanced Plumbing, Digital Meters, Agriculture and Horticulture, All Center Communication , e-learning platform.

Rs 4,606 crore will be spent on ITI advanced project
Rs 4,606 crore is being spent on this project to upgrade ITI. Students will get training in modern subjects on the basis of existing technology of the country and the world. Training facilities will be available in ITI on the basis of courses prepared for the future. After the creation of Center of Excellence, students coming out of ITI will get convenience in getting employment. The department is confident that after getting training in these subjects, the technology scenario of the state will change.
