ISRO YUVIKA Program 2024: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced the Young Scientist Program (YUVIKA) 2024. The examination for this program started for school children will be conducted on May 13-24. According to ISRO, under this program students will be given basic information about space technology, science and applications. It is a two-week long residential program aimed at developing the basic understanding of science among students.

The official window for registration in this program of ISRO will open on 20 February and will close on 20 March 2024. Eligible students will be selected on the basis of 50 percent weightage of Class 8 marks and 10 percent weightage of online quiz. Apart from this, in the science fair held at school or district or state level, weightage according to rank will be up to 10 percent. Students winning sports competitions will get 5 percent weightage and students participating in NCC will get 5 percent weightage. Along with this, students studying in rural areas or Panchayat schools will get 15 percent weightage.


How to apply for YUVIKA 2024:

(1) Students interested in participating in this program will have to register in ISRO Space Exploration Platform.
(2) Complete the application by clicking on the verification link sent on the e-mail ID.
(3) Participate in online space quiz.
(4) Enter your personal information.
(5) Now students have to upload attested copies of their certificates.
(6) Scan the documents and after uploading, submit the application.

According to ISRO, the objective of this program is to encourage students to study or pursue careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths-based research.
