Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) will first admit students through the Common Entrance Test (CET) in the new academic session. If seats are left after this, they will be filled through Common University Entrance Test (CUET). A senior IPU official said that for admission to MBA, B.Tech, Medical etc., priority is given to the entrance examinations conducted at the national level. After this the university conducts the entrance examination at its own level. Ultimately CUET is made the basis of admission.
University Director (Admissions) Prof. Udayan Ghosh and Controller of Examinations (Second) Dr. SL Bhandarkar said that efforts are being made to complete all the counseling by July. Academic session can start in the first week of August. Let us tell you that every year the university organizes entrance examinations for admission to about a hundred academic programs from undergraduate to PhD level.
