Delhi’s Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) is going to take several steps at the academic level from this year. Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahesh Verma said that the online application process for entrance examinations will be started from this month itself. Apart from this, there are preparations to run B.Ed course along with four-year graduation. A university official said that the online application process will start at the end of January. This time the entrance examinations will be held from 27th April to 12th May. The results will be declared on 25th May. This year also these entrance examinations will be conducted in offline mode on ‘OMR’ sheet only. Let us tell you that every year the university organizes entrance examinations for about 100 academic courses from graduation to PhD. The university will also make the counseling process easier.
IPU is preparing to conduct B.Ed courses along with four-year BA, B.Sc and B.Com. With this, students will be able to obtain two degrees simultaneously. However, it is still awaiting approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Examination centers will be made outside Delhi also
Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahesh Verma told that there is a plan to conduct courses of BA Mass Media, BSc Environmental Science, BSc Packaging Technology, MSc Food Technology. Keeping in mind the convenience of the students, this time examination centers will be made outside Delhi also. An entrance examination center will be set up in the city or state from which there are more applications.
