FMGE Result: National Board of Examination (NBE) has released the result of FMGE i.e. Foreign Medical Graduate Examination December session. Candidates can check the result of the exam at natboard.edu.in. The FMGE examination for December session was conducted on 20 January 2024. A total of 38535 candidates appeared in the FMGE exam out of which 30046 candidates failed. 1386 candidates did not come to appear for the exam. About 22 percent passed and about 78 percent failed. The results of 15 candidates have been withheld. Students will be able to download FMGE December 2023 scorecard from 13th February. This time the result has been much better (about 10 percent) compared to the last June session. To qualify in this exam of total 300 marks, one has to score 50 percent marks.

The dates when the candidates who pass FMGE December 2023 will get the certificate will be announced later by NBEMS. β€œThe results of candidates who are under Face ID verification, have court cases and those candidates who are awaiting security clearance have been withheld,” NBEMS said.

Let us tell you that if you want to do medicine in India after studying medicine from abroad, then for this you have to pass the FMGE exam. It is very difficult to pass this test. The result of this examination, which is considered very challenging, remains only around 20 to 25 percent.

Plan to eliminate FMGE exam
The Government of India plans to abolish the FMGE exam and NEET PG entrance exam and start the NEXT (National Exit Test – NExT) exam. At present, according to the notification issued by NMC last month, the National Exit Test (Next) has been postponed till further orders.
