Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has released the exam date and detailed exam pattern for the recruitment of Assistant Operator, Head Operator and Workshop Staff. The online written examination for direct recruitment-2022 to the posts of Workshop Employee, Principal Operator, Principal Operator Mechanical (Head Operator) and Assistant Operator (Assistant Operator) in Uttar Pradesh Police Radio Cadre will be held between 29 January to 10 February 2024. The exact exam date, exam city and exam center information of the candidates of these three recruitments will be given in the admit card. Applications were taken for this recruitment in March 2022. A total of 2430 posts will be filled through all three types of recruitments. In Radio Cadre, recruitment is to be done on 1374 posts of Assistant Operator, 936 posts of Chief Operator/Head Operator Mechanical and 120 posts of Workshop Employees.
There will be an online written examination of 400-400 marks in the recruitment examinations for all three posts. Every year will be of 2.5 marks. There will be total 160 questions. Questions of 40 marks each will be asked from General Hindi, Science-General Knowledge, Numerical and Mental Ability Test, Mental Aptitude Test/Logical Test. The exam will be of two and a half hours. There will be no negative marking. Marks will be given through normalization method.
It is also mentioned in the examination program that its answer key will be released after the examination. It will be released on the website for three days along with the response sheet. Candidates will get three days to lodge their objection.

How will the selection be done?
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in online written examination, physical measurement and physical efficiency test.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who are successful in document verification and physical standards test will have to appear in PET. Male candidates will have to run 4.8 km in 28 minutes. Women will have to run 2.4 km in 16 minutes.
Merit will be released on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination of the candidates found successful in PET.
