Preparations for the written examination proposed on February 18 for the recruitment of constables on 60 thousand posts in UP Police have intensified. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has set rules and standards for the exam centers being made for the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination. About 31 lakh candidates are likely to appear in the examination, for which about 6484 examination centers are being made across the state. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Recruitment Board has started the process of determining the capacity of the examination centers. The examination centers will be selected on the basic parameters. Also, only those centers which meet the standards related to examination hall will be included in the final list.

In the process of determining the examination centers for the constable exam, a total of 6484 examination centers have been proposed by the UP Police Recruitment Board, whose total capacity is more than 31.75 lakh. Of these, 4844 examination centers have been proposed in the zone and 1640 examination centers have been proposed in the commissionerate. Talking about zones, maximum 832 examination centers will be in Lucknow zone, whose total capacity is more than four lakhs.

Similarly, 741 examination centers are proposed in Bareilly, 647 in Varanasi, 540 in Agra, 527 in Kanpur city, 464 in Meerut, and 394 in Prayagraj. Maximum 488 examination centers are proposed in Prayagraj in the Commissionerate, whose total capacity is more than 2.25 lakh. Similarly, 271 examination centers have been proposed in Kanpur city, 261 in Agra, 237 in Varanasi, 148 in Lucknow, 127 in Ghaziabad and 108 in Gautam Buddha Nagar.

UP Police Recruitment Board has set these rules and standards for the examination centres.
– Examination halls will be equipped with CCTV cameras in the examination centres.
– Boundary wall and gate are mandatory in the examination centers along with the seating capacity of the candidates and the number of rooms.
– CCTV cameras should be installed at examination halls, main gates and other important places.
Apart from this, a separate room equipped with CCTV cameras is mandatory for keeping question papers at the examination centre.
Also, there should be arrangement for vehicle parking near the examination centre.
There will be arrangements for drinking water and separate toilets for male and female candidates.
DM, Police Commissioner, SSP or SP will be the main nodal officer for arranging the examination.
Similarly, ADM, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police or Additional Superintendent of Police will be the assistant nodal officer.
