IAS officer Surabhi Gautam hails from a small village in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. She was very smart in studies since childhood. All the family members used to look at Surabhi and say that one day she will bring glory to our family. Surbhi did her early schooling from the village. Surabhi was a topper in her class since her school days. He had secured 90 percent marks in class 10th and 12th without taking the help of any coaching.
His father was a lawyer in the civil court and his mother was a teacher. In such a situation, education was given great importance at home. Her parents always encouraged their daughter towards education. After the results of her class 12th board exam, Surbhi appeared for the State Engineering entrance exam, in which she was successful. After which he completed his engineering studies in Electronics and Communications from Bhopal. Let us tell you, Surabhi was the first girl from her village who went to the city for college studies.
Along with his engineering studies, he started preparing for UPSC and gave his first attempt in the year 2016. After giving the first attempt of UPSC, she had no idea that she would pass this exam in the first attempt. When the results came she was surprised. He passed the UPSC exam with 50th rank.
Let us tell you, before joining UPSC Civil Services, Surbhi had worked as a Nuclear Scientist in BARC for one year. He had also achieved success in examinations like GATE, ISRO, SAIL, MPPSC PCS, SSC CGL, Delhi Police and FCI. Not only this, he had secured AIR 1 in the IES examination held in 2013.
