Recruitment has been done for 183 posts of Security Guard, Officer Attendant, Driver and Data Entry Operator in Bihar Assembly Secretariat. These include 80 posts of security guard, 40 posts of data entry operator, 9 posts of driver and 54 posts of office attendant. The online application process for this recruitment will start from January 1, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply by visiting vidhansabha.bih.nic.in till 21st January. The last date for payment of exam fees has been fixed as 23 January 2024. There will be no written examination for the post of Driver in the above posts. The application fees for the posts are different which can be seen from the notification.


Only the natives of Bihar state will get the benefit of all types of reservation and age relaxation. Candidates from other states will fall under unreserved category and will be eligible to apply in this category. Details of posts and qualifications
Bihar Assembly Secretariat Security Guard Recruitment

Eligibility- Must have passed 12th examination from a recognized school education board.
Pay Scale – Pay Level-3, Rs.21,700-69,100 + Other Allowances.
Age Limit: Minimum age limit – 18 years.
Maximum Age Limit – General Category – 25 Years.
There is a maximum age relaxation of two years for BC, MBC, three years for BC and MBC women and five years for SC, ST men and women.

Security guard’s stature
Along with this, it is necessary to have prescribed physical standards. Under this, the height should be 167.5 centimeters for male candidates and 154.6 centimeters for female candidates.
– Chest (only for male candidates) should be 76.5 cms and 81 cms with expansion of five cms.
Selection – Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Test.

Qualification – 12th pass. And the computer should have a speed of 8000 key depressions per hour.
Desirable Qualification – Certificate in Computer course approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Age Limit: Minimum age limit – 18 years.
Maximum Age Limit – General Category – 37 Years.
There is a maximum age relaxation of two years for BC, MBC, three years for BC and MBC women and five years for SC, ST men and women.
Selection – Candidates will be interviewed for direct recruitment on the vacant posts of office attendant.
The integer will be of 100 marks. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the interview.
When the number of candidates is more than 40,000 (forty thousand) for the vacant posts of Office Attendant
A preliminary examination may be conducted for direct recruitment.

Selection – Driving skill test (practice test) followed by interview. The interview will be of 100 marks. Merit will be determined based on the marks obtained in the interview.
