Bihar STET: The last date of application for Bihar STET exam 2024 has been extended. Now applications for STET (Special School Teacher Eligibility Test – BSSTET) can be made till 7 January 2024. Earlier the last date of application was 2 January 2024. Interested candidates who have not applied yet can apply by visiting the official website bsebstet2024.com. Bihar Board said in the notice issued on the STET website, ‘Due to heavy traffic, the application portal has been closed. The period for filling the form has been extended till January 7, 2024. The application portal will start soon. Keep checking.

Earlier, Bihar Board had said that the dummy admit cards of the candidates will be available on STET website bsebstet.com till January 6. Meanwhile, candidates can see the dummy admit card and make corrections in case of any errors. The board has said that candidates will be able to make corrections in the dummy admit card with the help of their user ID and password. But now there is sure to be a change in this schedule.
Admit card will not be issued to such candidates whose fees are not deposited.

Applicants whose category changes during correction in the dummy admit card will have to pay the fixed fee for the changed category, i.e. if SC, ST, Divyang category applicants move to another category after category correction, then they will have to pay the fee for that category. The difference amount of fixed fees for one paper and Rs 300 for both the papers will have to be deposited through online method. Otherwise the admit card will not be issued.

STET exam pattern
Bihar STET exam will be conducted for subjects falling under Paper-1 (Secondary) as per the syllabus prescribed for secondary classes and for subjects falling under Paper-2 (Higher Secondary) as per the syllabus prescribed for Higher Secondary classes. In Paper-1 and Paper-2, 100 questions will be from the specified subject and 50 marks will be from teacher art and other competencies. That means there will be a total of 150 questions. The duration of the examination to be conducted in CBT mode will be of two and a half hours.

General – 50 percent
Backward Class – 45.5 percent
Extremely Backward Class – 42.5 percent
SC, ST – 40 percent
Disabled – 40 percent
Women – 40 percent

All the candidates who pass Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be issued STET pass certificate whose validity will be lifetime.
