CUET PG 2024: Record Participation of Over 4 62 lakh Students Says UGC chief – CUET PG 2024: Record 4.62 lakh took the CUET exam, answer key will come soon, Education News

Over 4.62 lakh candidates appeared for the Common University Eligibility Test (PG) which was held on Thursday. This is the highest participation so far in the examination. CUET PG was conducted over 15 days in over 250 cities, including nine cities outside India. Its answer key and response sheet will be released soon. University Grants Commission Chairman M Jagadish Kumar gave this information on Friday. He said, CUET (PG) was successfully conducted on March 28 as per plan. CUET-PG allows students to apply to multiple central and other universities using one exam.

For the 2024-25 academic year, there were approximately 4 lakh 62 thousand 603 candidates and 7 lakh 68 thousand 414 test in CUET (PG). One hundred ninety universities participated in it. Jagdish Kumar said that this is the largest number of student participation. 4 lakh 62 thousand 725 candidates had registered for CUET (PG) 2024.

The UGC chief said the examination was conducted in online mode in 565 different centers located in 253 cities, including nine cities outside India including Manma, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Ottawa, Abu Dhabi, Vienna and Doha. Candidates had applied for 4,597 courses and there were 157 different question papers.

Students appeared in 15 days, in 44 shifts, using 240 papers containing 18 thousand questions. The tests for Humanities, Science and General papers were in English or Hindi and the papers for some subjects were in other languages. He said that 950 experts and 200 translators prepared the question papers.

Among all the courses, maximum forms came for MBA admission. Of the 97,880 candidates who applied for MBA, 74,116 appeared for the exam. Whereas 22,673 forms were received for BEd in which 16,597 candidates appeared in the exam.
