CBSE Exam: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has termed as fake the notice going viral on social media in which it is being claimed that due to the farmers’ movement, the class 12th board exam has been postponed and a new date has been announced. Announcement will be made soon. CBSE has said that students should be careful and not get misled by such letters going viral. The board has not taken any such decision.

This fake notice issued in the name of CBSE states – ‘It has come to the notice of the Board that due to the farmers’ movement, the board examinees are facing problems, they are unable to attend schools, hence as per the government guidelines. Class 12 board exams have been postponed. You will be informed about the new dates. In view of this problem, CBSE has decided to postpone the exam dates.”

Even before this, CBSE had advised parents and students to beware of unruly elements who mislead them. CBSE had said that it will also take legal action against such people. The Board has released a list of such fake Twitter accounts in which they post and update the CBSE Board logo. Many are confusing users by using the name and logo of the handle board. All students were instructed to stay away from these fake accounts created in the name of CBSE.

The board has issued advisories for schools, students and parents before the start of the exams. Keeping in mind the closed roads and traffic problems due to the farmers’ movement, the board has advised the students to leave home early and, if possible, take metro service. Class 10th exams are from 15th February to 13th March and Class 12th exams are from 15th February to 2nd April. More than 39 lakh students from India and 26 other countries will appear for the CBSE board exams.
