The examination conducted for recruitment to security guard posts in Bihar Assembly has been cancelled. Now there will be a fresh examination for this. The new exam date will be announced later. The preliminary examination was held on September 10 for direct recruitment to 69 posts of Security Guard (Marshal). More than 27 thousand candidates had participated in it. After this, physical examination and efficiency test of the candidates was conducted from 19 to 22 January this year. Actually, the Assembly Secretariat had received a complaint about lack of transparency in taking the examination. The Assembly Secretariat had also received a report in this regard. Based on this, after thorough consideration, it was decided to cancel the examinations conducted under advertisement number 01/2023 for security guards.

The notification issued by Ram Kumar Yadav, deputy secretary of the state assembly secretariat, said, ‘After considering the reports received, the examination has been cancelled. Its details will be uploaded on the website of Bihar Assembly later.”

Assembly Speaker Anand Kishore Yadav said that he is looking into the matter. After the decision to cancel the examination was taken, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha thanked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Assembly Speaker. This is the first decision of the NDA government to cancel the decision of the Grand Alliance government. Although applications were also invited for recruitment to other posts in the Assembly, it is not known whether they are also under investigation or not.

Sinha, who was earlier the Assembly Speaker himself, said, ‘We had raised questions to the Grand Alliance government many times before regarding Assembly recruitment. Letters were also written to the Chief Minister and the Governor. We also made it public in the media but no action was taken at first. The task of rectifying the mistake was left to the NDA government. There should be a deep investigation to expose the rigging and racket in recruitment.

Sinha said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to make a corruption-free country, CM Nitish Kumar also does not tolerate it at all. He said, ‘Corruption and dynasty politics go together because they give rise to each other.’

Let us tell you that last month the Bihar government had issued an order to review the work and decisions taken by the RJD ministers included in the grand alliance government. Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary said, ‘Our government will crack down on corruption. If something has gone wrong in the past, it will be rectified. There will be a complete review of all decisions.

During his speech to win the trust vote, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had also said that he had received information about the irregularities and a thorough investigation would be conducted.
