Regarding BPSC third phase teacher appointment, the Education Department has also issued guidelines related to application along with the examination process. In this phase, passing TET will not be mandatory for teachers appointed before 2012 who passed the efficiency test. Under this, category wise 60, 55 and 50 percent marks will be required for CTET candidates to apply. This time the 18 months D.El.Ed degree of NIOS will not be valid for appointment. Age relaxation of five years will be given to those in government service and three years to ex-servicemen in recruitment of teachers. For reinstatement, 5 percent relaxation in the minimum prescribed marks will be given to Scheduled Caste, Tribe, Extremely Backward Class, Backward Class and Disabled candidates in educational and training qualification.
Separate subject groups have been given for appointment to the post of school teachers for classes 9 to 10 in high schools and classes 6 to 10 in the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department. Candidates have been instructed to apply on the basis of merit as per the subject group. Under this, one should have studied any two subjects from Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Statistics along with Mathematics at the graduation level or graduation in Engineering with specialization in Mathematics.

At the graduation level, the qualification of BCA in Computer Science will be considered included. Similarly, one should have studied Zoology, Botany and Chemistry at the bachelor’s level in science or a graduate in engineering with specialization in science. Apart from Zoology, Botany and Chemistry, Biotechnology and Microbiology have also been included. For Social Science subject, candidates can choose any two subjects from History, Geography, Economics and Political Science out of which one History or Geography is compulsory. Ancient history will be considered equivalent to the history subject.
