In Bihar, under the Chief Minister Extremely Backward Class Civil Services Incentive Scheme, apart from civil services, students are given the opportunity to appear for other examinations of UPSC, civil services examination of other state governments, preliminary examination of Bihar Judicial Service, examinations of Bank, Railways, Central Staff Selection Commission. Assistance will also be given for.
Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Department, Dr. S. Siddharth told that apart from UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination, assistance of Rs. 75 thousand will be given for Indian Engineering Service, Indian Economic Service, Indian Statistical Service, Joint Geological Service etc. 50 thousand will be given for CDS, CBI (DSP), Central Armed Police Force.
Let us tell you that Rs 1 lakh each is given to women candidates and extremely backward class candidates who pass the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination. Only those candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar state can avail the benefits of both the schemes. Any candidate gets the benefit of this type of scheme only once.
Candidates already working/employed in the service of any government/public undertaking/institution funded by the state government do not get the benefit of this scheme. At present, girls who pass BPSC PT are given an amount of Rs 50 thousand for the preparation of mains and interview.
