Bihar BSEB Sakshamta Pariksha: Patna High Court has given big relief to the employed teachers of Bihar. The court on Tuesday rejected Rule-4 and ordered that any teacher who does not appear in the competency test and fails in it will not lose his job. These teachers will remain on their posts. Apart from this, Rule-12 under which the appellate authority was abolished has also been rejected. That means now the authorities will also remain. It is noteworthy that the Bihar government is conducting competency test through Bihar Board to give the status of state employees to the employed teachers. The Education Department had said that employed teachers would be given five chances to pass the competency test. After passing the examination, teachers employed in the school will be given the status of state employees from the date of contribution to the school. As soon as they get the status of state employee, they will start getting facilities on the lines of teachers appointed by Bihar Public Service Commission.

After the conduct of the first competency test, the result has also come. One lakh 48 thousand 845 teachers from classes one to five had given the competency test. Of these, one lakh 39 thousand ten had passed. At the same time, 23 thousand 873 teachers of classes six to eight had given the competency test, out of which 22 thousand 941 have passed. At the time of the competency test itself, all the teachers were asked to choose the three districts of their choice in the schools where they wanted to be posted. Teachers have been allotted districts of their choice on the basis of subject-wise marks obtained in the competency test. Those teachers who have not found the districts of their choice and do not want to contribute at the new place, will be given a chance to appear in the next competency test.
