UP Basic Education: Digitization of 12 registers is to be done in the council schools of the state. With this, teachers will soon be freed from the register. In this regard, the Director General of School Education has written a letter to all the BSAs of the state. Necessary instructions have also been given regarding maintenance of registers. After the order, preparations have been intensified in schools.

The digital format of the registers is to be prepared on the lines of the physical registers currently being used in schools. Under the pilot project, instructions have been given to update all the council primary, upper primary, composite and Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools of Lucknow, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Rae Bareli, Sitapur, Unnao and Shravasti in both physical and digital forms from November 20, 2023. . Use of digital format of 12 registers is to be ensured in council primary, upper primary, composite and Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools of all the districts, which will include attendance register, admission register, class wise student attendance register, MDM register, consolidated free material distribution register, staff register. Register, income-expenditure and issue register, meeting register, inspection register, correspondence register, child census register, library and sports register are included. Detailed information regarding digital registers of headmasters and in-charge headmasters will be given in the BEO HT meeting organized at the development block level. Apart from this, Principals/Incharge Principals have been asked to attend the BEO HT meeting with the tablets provided.

After the order of the Director General of School Education, preparations for digitalization of registers have intensified. BEO will inform the headmaster and in-charge headmasters about the digital registers. The Education Department has taken this decision to prevent irregularities at the school level.
